Garry’s Mod, the beloved sandbox game, is now home to what is probably the biggest map ever created in the history of video games. A modder named Alexandrovich has introduced the mind-boggling 1:1 Multiverse map, touting "2048 rotated universes, each 880 octillion kilometers in size". Abiding by the laws of the digital realm rather than physics, this colossal map is an astounding feat of modding.

The Multiverse map makes use of another mod, InfMap, which manipulates the game’s rules to maintain the illusion of infinity. This is achieved by altering the properties of objects within the map once the player hits a boundary wall, thereby maintaining the illusion of infinite forward progress.

In addition to the colossal size, the creator claims a future update will introduce 2048 solar systems into the map. Although skeptics might question the legitimacy of its scale, players who have experimented with the map share an awe-inspiring experience of its vastness.

Garry’s Mod is no stranger to ambitious fan-made creations, but this Multiverse map is truly a testament of how far users can push the engine. It's both a fascinating experiment in game design and a testament to the boundless creativity of the gaming community.
